CMS Historic Series 2012 Season Info

Get ready for Season III of the CMS Historic Racing Series


This season we will be using the rFactor mod - Historix GT & Touring Car version 1.9
You can download the mod from the VirtualR.Net website: Historix Mod Download Link
Important: Since the mod uses content from Simbin’s GT Legends as base, a legal copy of GT Legends is required for the installation!

We will be racing the Trans Am series using the 1966 through 1970 cars from all the Detroit manufactures:

Trans - Am cars allowed:

• AMC Javelin – 1971 GTTC (A4)
• Camaro 1967/68/69 GTTC (A4)
• Ford Mustang 1969 GTTC (A4)
• Plymouth Cuda 1970 GTTC (A4)
• Pontiac Firebird 1970 GTTC (A4)
• Dodge Challenger 1970 GTTC (A4)
• Shelby Mustang 1966/67/68 GTTC (A2)
  

We will also be running a Under 2 Liter class using the following European brand names:

U2 cars allowed

• Alfa Romero GTA 1966 1600 GTA (A1)
• Austin Mini Cooper S 1966 1275 GTTC (A1)
• Fiat Abrath 1000TC 1965 GTTC (A1)
• Ford Lotus Cortina 1966 GTTC (A1)
• Ford Falcon Sprint 1965 GTTC (A2)

Races will be held on alternating Mondays at 9:05 p.m. Central (US) time and the schedule will be posted next week. I'm hoping to have the Pre Season race on February 6th with an 8 race season starting on February 13th.

We will be racing on most of the tracks that the Trans Am series raced at in the mid to early 70's and I'm hoping to have the tracks available for down load in the next week. You will need to decide which class and car you will be racing with before the first race of the season and if you decide to change car or class at anytime during the season all points gained to that point will be lost.

The Trans Am cars are a blast to drive so come on out and join the fun

Woo hoo! I'll be there in one of the little guys -- not sure which one yet. Is there any more clarification to which cars are eligible -- A0, A1, etc?

So so much win!!! I'll be there in the Cuda #42... unless we are allowing custom skins for the season? I see that HistoriX has started releasing the templates, including the Trans Am templates...

Because of the limited amount of disk space we have on the game server we'll just be using the default car skins.
