We are very pleased to announce our next iRacing Series hosted by Champion Motorsports. We are proudly presenting a four race, Ford GT Masters Series, with races every two weeks from the middle of February. to the end of March.



Drivers with a 1000+ iRating and and minimum class D license 2.0 and above are eligible to participate. Additionally, known members from Champion Motorsports sim racing community in good standing are eligible to participate regardless of iRating and SR level.

We are also pleased to be offering a series participation prize for these races. All drivers which participate in each of the 4 races will have their names entered into a drawing for a prize at the end of the series. The prize will be the winners choice of either a $25.00 iRacing.com gift card or Amazon.com Gift card. The only restriction is that the winning driver must complete at least 60% of the total laps over the 4 races, so this award recognizes both participation and finishing races. At the conclusion of the series, all drivers meeting the criteria will be put into a random draw and a prize winner selected randomly.

Here are the Details for the Races ...

first of all the iRacing Sporting and competition code will be in place, and everyone is expected to follow it and race with respect and like adults.

Additionally the CMS General Rules and Regulations apply for all races, so please read them and be familar with them.

Events on Wednesday Nights - using the iRacing.Com Ford GT car

Round 1 = February 15th - Oulton Park International w/no chicanes
Round 2 = February 29th - Watkins Glen Classic Boot
Round 3 = March 14th - Phillips Island
Round 4 = March 28th - Laguna Seca

Race Night Details
-----

- NO RACE Password, entry will be controlled by iRating and SR levels
-Practice begins in hosted session at 830 CST (-6GMT) / 930 EST (-5GMT)

-Qualifying begins at 9pm CST / 10pm EST (15 minutes) all cars on track together
-Race starts at approximately 920pm CST / 1020pm EST

-Race distance 45 minutes
-One pit stop for minimum 2 tires required during race at any time after lap 5

-Standing Start
-Driving aids not allowed, except for clutch assist and auto blip

-Fast Tows not allowed
-Full Course Cautions - OFF

Championship Points

Points Structure:
24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0...
Top 15 in the event receive points.
Must Finish 60% of race distance to get points.

We will also pay a 3 point bonus for finishing the race (to the end) with zero incidents.
This is an emphasis and reward we want to put in for clean and respectful racing at CMS ...

Right away I want to say I'll be there, but ....I'm still not over being extremely pissed at iRacing after giving the Corvette a try (you don't even want to get me started on what a joke that is).

I'll buy the Ford (what's another $15) and give it a try before comitting to this series.

But the series sure looks like it will be fun, great job David!
