    Default Madden 07

    Ricky,

Rather than hijack the golf thread, I figured I'd repost here.

I was rather disappointed with '06. I have not yet bought 07 as I figure it is just name changes. What do you like better in '07? Were there additional features that are way cool in '07? Are you finally able to get a running game in '07?

What did you mean by it is better gameplay than 360?

I am interested in hearing what people think of '07.

    Ron

Keep in mind I have only played about 5 games but the DB AI seems to be much better. It is harder to bomb away all the time. Some new animations. If you have a big receiver or RB it is possible to break the tackle and get more yardage rather than going down as soon as you are hit. I am a franchise nut and the 360 franchise is terrible. The PC is well done. It is not without flaws by any means. The sim engine is still not great. 5 RB's ended up with over 2000 yards for the season that I simmed. The guys over at Football Freaks should come out with a fix for this hopefully.

As I see more cool things I will post them here.

You can take control of a blocker before the play begins and make your own block and then go back to controlling the RB. It is awkward at first but it feels pretty cool when you pancake someone.

    Real time lighting.

no problem Ron. If you get the game, let me know. I found a utility program that adjusts the sim stats so they are much more in line with what a real season would produce.

Hello Ricky, where might I find the program that adjust sim stats? Is there anyway to get a created team into franchise mode?

    Philip, go to http://football-freaks.com/forums/index.php?act=SC&c=4
Look in the Madden 07 utilities section. The utility is called "Madden Amp".

Some of the features don't work properly with 2007 but the only thing I use it for is adjusting the stats. You have to have NET Framework 2.0 installed for the program to work.

    Here are the steps.

    1. Play your game for the week.
    2. Sim the rest of the week.
    3. Save your franchise and exit Madden 07
    4. Open Madden Amp and load your season file.
    5. After loading the franchise file you will have a "franchise" option available at the top of the menu.
    6. Goto "franchise"---"weekly maintenance" That opens up another window where you will choose "actions" then "make adjustments"
    7. After it is finished you can close that window.
    8. Before leaving Madden Amp be sure and choose "file" and "save" which saves your franchise with the updated stats.

There are sliders that will give you different results but you will have to see what works for you. So far I am just using the default settings.

Adjusting the stats won't change any of the scores of the simmed games. It will just decrease the carries for the starting RB and give some carries to the second stringer.
I would recommend saving your franchise under a different name and "practicing" with another copy.
It sounds like alot to do but it is really quick and easy after you do it a couple of times.
If you want to see what it is doing you can check some of the rushing stats in the box scores before you exit the game and then check the same box scores again after running Madden Amp.

I am not sure about using a created team in your franchise Philip. I have not tried that yet.

Thanks Ricky. I did see a thread where you can use one of the utilites for Madden 06 to swap a created team into a franchise for one of the NFL teams.

Ricky, I am all loaded up with Madden. Let me know if you want to play a game. Lets play it in Coach mode then I don't have to do all the work..LOL.

I am using the sliders developed at the site you mentioned above.

Sounds good Rob! I have some sliders from that site and it sure makes a difference. I will look you up and we can get a game or two played.

That same site also has updated rosters. Get the rosters from "Struttdaddy". He does a great job on them every year. He continually updates them but even his first version that came out last night are very well done.
