Xbox died!!

I have been waiting on this to happen. I am a member at a website where everyone has a 360 and they organize game nights and stuff. It is amazing the percentage of people there that have had their Xbox 360 crap out. It is way more than the 3% that Microsoft was claiming for a long while. The good news is that Microsoft extended the warranty on the launch 360's for a year so at least it died before the year was up.

Anyone else have any problems with their 360?

PS3 all the way forget xbox 360 a would rather play ps2 than xbox

ps2 and Xbox are comparable but no way I would rather play ps2 than XBox 360.

And I can almost buy 2 360's for what a PS3 costs and the PS3 is not twice as good at the 360. Some say 360 is as good but I can't speak to that since I don't own a PS3.

Since they extended everyone's warranty, you shouldn't have any problems getting it repaired, and it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks at most.

Check the date of the original post Tim!! But you were close. It died for the second time today!!! The fact that they extended everyones warranty to 3 years tells me they know there is something wrong with all of these boxes. Does anyone know if I get a 3 year warranty on the box I am getting back or is it 3 years from the purchase of the original box?
No Madden for me for awhile.

Ricky , I am pretty sure it's 3 years from the NEW box. everytime you get a new one the warranty starts over. Yes, Microsoft is investing a 1 Billion Dollar charge to make this right -- as they had some hardware production issues that have caused the failure rate to be higher than what would be considered normal.
