• 2012 CMS Driver Development Program Basic Semester

The CMS Driver Development Program (DDP) originated as a way for new drivers to become introduced to the hobby and learn the skills needed to compete in the higher level events at CMS and beyond. Specifically Paul and Jim noted there the big hurdle for someone new to simracing who wanted to race in the CMS Le Mans series, and created something to help bridge that. This was more than 3 years ago, and the DDP has turned out many successful drivers. Under Jim and Pauls leadership, many simracing vets have found the DDP as a good place to learn new tricks and sharpen the skills they already have.

As Jim had to step away from the hobby, Phil asked David if he could work with Paul to relaunch the DDP. David agreed, and Phil and Paul have worked with a number of talented driver-instructors to create what we hope is a comprehensive, informative, and most importantly ACTIONABLE set of topics to help grow your skills in simracing. There will be three semesters, Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced, with a clear development of skills to take a driver from just starting up simracing all the way to the advanced skills needed for success in the Le Mans series, iRacing, or anywhere.

Without further ado, here is the info for the Basic semester.
