• Forza 4 Historic Trans-Am Storms into Road America

    Race 2 Recap:

The second round of the Historic Trans Am Series visited Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, with a packed grid providing close racing. While there was a nearly full grid for this race, the drivers took extra care to ensure the racing was clean so everyone got a chance to race. Lots of side by side racing in this round, with the long straights and tricky corners of Road America providing plenty of excitement.

In the qualifying race, Mike Waltz in his AMC Javelin took the win by a fair margin. Campbell Troy in the Ford Falcon took second with Scott Brizinski in a Cuda only a second behind him.

In the main race, Scott Brizinski would go on to take the win, pushing his Cuda into a comfortable lead of over 14 seconds. In second was Mike Waltz, and chasing him in third was newcomer NLR XCELERATOR.

Scott now leads the series with 25 points, with Campbell second in the points with 18. Mark Bell and Mike Waltz are currently tied for third with 12 points each.

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight, it was a great event!

    Standings after Round 2:

FYI: I take photos of the results at the end of the races, however I didn't notice it cuts off at 12 places To top it off the replay cuts off at 25 min, so I was not able to get the final times via the replay. Sorry about that, will make sure I get these next round.

Fantastic write-up Aaron!!! Also, guys last night I thought everyone did an excellent job for the most part on the starts of both races. Generally I saw patience and working together to facilitate a good start. Yes, some rubbing and racing in these cars for sure, but it was pretty good quality. Thanks and also thanks for supporting the Forza 4 series here at CMS and special thanks to Mark and Aaron for all their hard work in organizing it.

Dang were still having connection problems.. I need to know what God's I must appease to sort this problem out. I'm pleased to hear the race went well. I hope everyone had a blast despite the problems. I've been sorting out my folders and such from my Desert trip. So I've only slightly begun to get back into Forza and my Trans Am duties. Please bare with me as I get ramped up for race 3.

Mark, once the race started we really didnt have any issues, with 15-16 of us, but before we started, we had a a few guys not able to get into the lobby , it was odd.

Mark, no worries, first you need to post a pic or two of your desert adventure. Then we need to talk about how to handle having over 16 players for next week. Race was 15 players (one person not getting in unfortunately), and 3 regulars the just couldn't make it. Nice strong start to the series!

I will indeed. And yes I see we're gonna need to work something out. Like you both said, it's a good problem to have.
