Gran Torino
Great movie! Clint Eastwood at his best and probably last leading role. I'm not sure if it's Oscar worthy, but it is certainly worthy of a nomination. This is one movie that is worthy of the price of a ticket, so if you get a chance to see this movie in the theater, you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this movie. It's a high octane action flick about a retired CIA agent trying to rescue his daughter from some bad guys. It doesn't take long to set up the plot and the movie wastes no time getting right to the action. It was a little surprising to see Liam Neeson as an action hero, but the pace of the movie keeps you interested and the ensuing body count is reasonable, albeit high.

Seven Pounds
An interesting movie that will certainly be loved or hated. I like Will Smith, so I enjoyed the movie, but the content is very heavy and predictably depressing at times. Smith is very good and there is an outstanding cast. In particular I thought that Rosario Dawson held her own when on screen with Smith. Not a movie that requires a visit to the theater, but I still think it was pretty good.

Pineapple Express
Seth Rogan likes pot...alot! That's pretty much the entire premise of the movie. Pineapple express is the name of the type of marijuana the he happens to be smoking when he witnesses a murder. The murderer just happens to be his drug dealer buddies supplier and hilarity ensues...not really. It has it's funny moments, but unless your a pot head, or just enjoy watching movies about pot heads, it's not really that funny. It's not a terrible movie, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.

If you smoke pot: 4 Stars / If you don't smoke pot: 1 1/2 stars

Thanks for the reviews Troy!! I watched the third "Mummy" movie last week, and will be watching "Wall-E" tomorrow (finally!)...so I plan to post something on those soon.
