Generation Kill is a seven episode miniseries based on the book of the same name by Evan Wright. The book/series is about Mr. Wright's experiences as an embedded reporter with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion in the early stages of the Iraq war.

This series is neither a patriotic chest pounder nor a bleeding heart anti-war series. It is just simply the most accurate portrayal of what it is like to be boots on the ground in the AOR. The characters are real, the situations are accurate, and the conflict is brutal and painfully ironic.

The series is currently on episode five, so it is not available on DVD as of yet, but if you have HBO don't miss this. When it comes out on DVD...get it!
