My first impressions of the DP are very good. It is probably my favorite car in the game by a pretty wide margin.

It's nice to have a tin top over my head again, and I am just so much more comfortable in a GT type car than I am in open wheelers. Running this thing around Daytona is just a blast and you can really dance it on the edge of traction. It has gobs of torque but is a heavy beast compared to all the other road cars. So it doesn't throw you back like the radical, but it has much better top end speed and is much, much more stable and less twitchy.

Anyway, I'm headed back to the fun run practice sessions for a bit. If you see me in a practice, drop in and say Howdy.

Thanks for the update Wes! As soon as I get my rating high enough to run it I plan to check it out as well. Probably in the next season.

I won't be able to drive it in races til next season either but I bought it anyway. I will run some of the 13th week stuff they have going on this week. It is a sweet car that is for sure. I agree with Wes. It is my favorite road car so far by far. One of the guys over at iRacing said that going from the Radical to the DP was like going from lying on a bed of nails to lying on Megan Fox! I would have to agree! I am a bit older so I would have probably picked someone else, maybe Heather Locklear but hey, you get the idea.

Here is what I have for a Daytona setup so far. I am running low 1:43's with it. I can't seem to break into the 42's though. I feel like there is some more straightline speed out there somewhere. The aero is very touchy and changing the ride height from the low downforce set has only slowed my top speed down.

Thanks Wes, I will try yours. I got another one that is very stable but I can only get 1:45's. I went from 19th to 5th in one of the fun races but ran out of gas coming back out onto the big part of the track and had to coast and got passed and finished 6th.
These cars are a blast for sure. It gives me some incentive to get to a B license next season so I can run a full season of them.

I worked on the front end some and was able to dip into the 42's with full race fuel.

Is the 13th week at Daytona over? I don't see it listed and I thought it was not ending until next weekend.
