Default DP delayed - 2/7/09 update

It was our hope to roll out the Riley DP car this week, but unfortunately, this will not be happening. As I communicated to you last week, we take pride in hitting our milestones, but we will not compromise the quality of our product to do so. The car is very close, but we feel it needs a little more work and a lot more testing before we are comfortable releasing it.

With this delay we will also be pushing back the start of the DP series until next weekend.

We appreciate your patience and we are working hard to deliver this car as quickly as we can.

This sucks, I was excited about getting home from work tommorrow and flying around Daytona in the DP. I guess this will give me time to run some NetKar Pro laps for the Fun Race.

So annoying! I can't wait to get my hands on the DP!

Disappointed as well, but I must say I am impressed that they have the courage and standards not to rush the car to meet expectations of the commuity. Taking the rath of the impatient customers to get it right is a standard not always upheld by developers.

True, I'm glad they are making sure it's right before releasing it.

I will have to say that the customer service part of iRacing is GREAT so far. No grey area, they fix bugs quickly and almost always deliver exactly what they say they are going to deliver. It is far from perfect but getting better everyday.
