    Default iRacing Clubs

I was reading some of the posts and articles on iRacing's development and I came upon this quote.....

' Finally, the establishment of geographically-based clubs will introduce a team component to the mix. "We've structured the clubs to provide another element of competition and to help build the community aspect of the iRacing experience," said Henry. "By providing members lots of different ways to contribute to their club's success, everyone can get involved, regardless of their skill level or particular area of interest." '

David, interested in taking Champion Motorsports to iRacing? We have a diverse group that would do very well, I’m sure. It could even have side benefit of attracting new membership for the rFactor league’s.

I see a few on here will try, as Krammer has always had the premier product. I intend to subscribe as I know many people that play online role playing games and are paying as much or more for seperate characters. I see it as the evolution of simracing into the role-playing arena but actually using skills and benchmarking them rather than collecting them. I look forward to the level competition and hope there is a skills development program in the works too.

Absolutely I plan to give this concept a try over there and hopefully we can create a Champion Motorsports club. Thanks for bringing this up Stephen as I was planning to say something as well. Anyone interested in a club at iRacing post here and we'll start talking some more about it as we get more details.

Has anyone been invited to the BETA yet? If so I hear they are going to grow it via referral. Would be great if you guys could refer other members of Champion Community so we can help test and grow the product as it goes into release phase.

I will definitely be down for some iRacing club action.

However, I don't think private clubs will be a part of the initial release. The "regional" clubs they refer to are based on geographic locations of the drivers. They do plan to support private leagues, but that will come later and not in the initial release.
