Default Formula 1 Comes Back To Multiformat Gaming In 2009!!

We’ve secured the exclusive rights to make games based on the world’s biggest motorsport series – FORMULA 1 – and just had to let you know.

Building on the success of GRID and DiRT, Codemasters Studios is leading the design and development of the games, across multiple formats, using a new evolution of the fantastic EGO Engine technology. The first game’s expected to launch in 2009, and will feature all the Grand Prix circuits, teams, cars, and driver likenesses from that season.

Discuss this news, and more, in the official Codemasters F1 forum.

    OH I AM VERY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Regards,

Should be interesting, but I have to tell you I am not optimistic based on past performance of Codemasters. Most of what they've put out over the years has been arcade junk. Hopefully they hire some sim minded folks ...

    Not cynical Randy!

I'm just sure that not only is the glass half empty, it's tipped over and spilt everything on the floor...

I downloaded the Grid Demo for XBOX 360, and it lasted all of 15 minutes before I deleted it off the hard drive, total junk and a joke on physics and handling in my opinion. The F1 license at this point going to Codemasters is really really bad news for Sim racing.
