Default Race Driver : The Grid

    Hey All,

I was browsing online and noticed Race Driver : The Grid released a video with all in game footage.

You can take a look at it on their website. Official Grid Website Then Click on movies at the bottom left hand side of the page.

I was truly disappointed when I heard they didn't want to spend the money and get the DTM licensing and that they were adding drifting (which I have no interest in).

But being a huge fan of the console base Toca games I never stopped looking at the updates when they were posted by Codemasters. And now since the release of this new video, I am blown away by the detail they have put into this game. From all the money they saved from not getting the DTM they have definitely put it to good use. I am now excited to see this released again.

Does anyone know what other racing game uses that Song that is played during that video as there game intro? (Hint: Playstation)

    Regards,

well, buddy of mine got me a copy of grid and i tell you...its free kin awesome!!

Just made enough money to get myself an old mustang and starting my career

of course its painted white with red flames...lol

took awhile to tweak my wheel and pedal feel, and yes...its not a sim...but its immersible for sure, the graphics and sound are so realistic.
There are even lemans cars, open wheel, bmw's, porche's. camaro's etc. etc.
Was happy to be able to paint my car too, and sponsors pop up and you stick their sticker on your car for extra cash.
i tried multi player but i am still a noob and there is no racing rules, those lap ruiners are there too...its fun enough single player anyways.
now i better get back to practicing for next months lemans endurance race

    john

i will try to post some screenshots too at some point

Ok so I rented this for the 360 this weekend. Wow, immersive is only the beginning, its almost like a drug... you get hooked so easily. Very much an arcade game, but its still fun. What I don't get is how the seasons work.... I am on season 3 but I haven't done much in the way of races.... oh well still one hell of a game. I think I might buy it for the 360.

did you at least finish the 24 hour endurance race ?? for every minute its one hour!! its sooo cool how it goes from light to dark to light again.
did you buy any other car ? i am still using my mustang for races...but offers from other teams are always there so you can use different cars.
i am always restarting races...lol those AI's are crazy!!!

I have finished every race that I have been in.... however many times I had to use the flashback button The AI is good, they actually mess up! my favorite was when i was doing a drive offer at Spa and one of the cars came flying, rolling through the air over my cockpit when I was in driver view, INSANITY! I bought the little formula car the FJ something or other, the 320si, a GTR and something else. All the cars do handle different, some plow like pigs, and others corner like they are on rails.... I still like the graphics and crash physics, hope the next Forza graphics will be this good. If you get a chance, play in the demolition derby, tons of fun to destroy cars.

I tried out GRID today and I was very disappointed. After watching Sim Racing Tonights review I expected a fun experience, but it doesn't support the high end wheel's and pedals (ECCI), so driving it is essentially undriveable.
