Default The Power and the Glory Mod

I know you die-hard GTL guys will love this....

SimHQ Motorsports Editor Jens "McGonigle" Lindblad has a first-look review of the new mod for GTR2.

    http://www.simhq.com/_motorsports4/m...orts_115a.html

You can also find at the GT Legends Workshop, a mod based on the 1973 International Race of Champions (IROC).

What a lineup!!! Check this out....

Between them, the drivers in the inaugural series had won 32 major championships, the Indy 500 six times, the F1 World Championship twice, the Can Am Challenge Cup five times and the NASCAR Grand National seven times.

Mark Donohue - SCCA - multiple Trans-Am champion, Can-Am champion, Indy 500 winner
    Peter Revson - SCCA - Can-Am champion, F1 driver
    George Follmer - SCCA - Trans-Am champion, Can-Am champion, F1 driver
Bobby Unser - USAC - Indy Car champion
    A. J. Foyt - USAC - Champ Car champion
Gordon Johncock - USAC - Indy 500 winner
Roger McClusky - USAC - Champ Car champion
David Pearson - NASCAR - multiple NASCAR champion
Bobby Allison - NASCAR - NASCAR driver
Richard Petty - NASCAR - Multiple NASCAR champion
Emmerson Fittipaldi - FIA - F1 World Champion
Denny Hulme - FIA - F1 World Champion, multiple Can-Am champion

Al Unser and Mario Andretti were unable to participate due to their Firestone contracts and the IROC series use of Goodyear tyres.

    Very interesting indeed!!!

I have been spending a lot of time with this mod ... and it's very well done. I am enjoying it quite a bit. I have been primarily racing the IROC cars which are very cool. If you guys havent yet, you should take a look at this one. There was an article this month in PC Gamer about it as well, which prompted me to go ahead and download it -- and I am glad I did. Note, you MUST have GT Legends and the CD/DVD to install this, otherwise you wont be able to use it.

Here is a little story and a couple of screenshots I took after spending a lot of time with this mod over the weekend. I focused primarily on the IROC cars and they are lots of fun ... especially if you are a history buff.

If you're enjoying the P&G mod, I would recommend that you swing by the NoGrip site to download the new menu add-on for P&G -- it gives the mod a look-and-feel that sets it apart completely from GTR2:

    http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=9192

If you're interested in the new menus, you will want to follow DucFreak's instructions for how to do a separate installation of GTR2 for the Power & Glory mod -- the new P&G menus disable the "24 Hour Race" option and the "Driving School" option, so if you install the P&G menu update to your default GTR2 installation, it will definitely muck up your GTR2 installation if/when you want to use the GTR2 cars/options:

    Enjoy!

Awesome thanks for sharing and welcome to the forums. I will definitely download this. I have the P&G Mod installed and have really enjoyed it thusfar, it is very well done. In fact I was thinking that maybe in the future we might consider running some races in it for our Champion Fun Series ...
