Default Any Decent (faster) GTR 2 setups?

I am loving GTR 2, but I am finding that I am way slower than the AI with them set at 100%. Like 5-6 seconds slower usually at least. are you guys finding the same or am I just that pathetic? At any rate does anyone have any decent setups that they are using for any of the cars, GT Class or NGT?

Hey David, where do you set the AI strength in GTR2? I only ran a few private practices, and just finally saw the button on the setup screen for Practice that lets you allow AI cars. I haven't seen any setting for the AI strength however.

As far as setups go, I have only run cars using the default setup, and closing off the brake duct and/or the radiator opening a click or two... I've also downloaded a couple of online setups within the game and ran some laps, but I haven't run enough cars or tracks where I had anything to compare those to.

Can you post your times, car, and track records? I'll run some laps and tell ya if you're slow, the same or faster! hehe If I know what cars/tracks to run, I'll see what I get, and if faster, I can give you the replay. I'm pretty sure the Time Trial section with a ghosted car, can use other people's replays as the benchmark you chase. A pretty cool feature... you can see exactly where you gain/lose time.

Is there a way to export your player records? I've only run the Porsche GT3-RS at Monza (1:54.xxx), Imola (1:54.xxx), Donington (can't remember time), and Barcelona (can't remember). The Lotus elise at Monza (2:02? I think), and the BMW M3 GT2 at Hockenheim (1:44.xxx). I ran online with a few other guys at Hockenheim, and the netcode seems pretty stable... Just practice though, no race, but it looks promising.

EDIT: David, do you know how to select more AI cars to practice with? I ran a non-private open practice in the Porsche GT3-RS (not RSR... #84 TDM Motorpsorts... Blue and Yellow, from 03 season), but there were only two other AI cars in the session. They both ran fast laps of 1:47.6xx, and I ran 1:48.2xx, with about 6 or 7 laps, so I was only about 1/2 second behind. I'm attaching the replay. The setup I was using was from the online files... The "GT3-Gori" one... it's not a great setup for this track I don't think... Gears 5 and 6 were a little too tall, and it pushed a lot in the highspeed corners like turn 3 at Barcelona. Try it out and let me know what times you're getting at Barce in the GT3-RS

Here are a few other Hotlap replays from various tracks. I think a couple of RS Porsches, one BMW and a Lotus

John thanks for posting. I will see if I can get some more info for you on how to add AI cars and stuff to the practice. I agree the netcode seems pretty decent as well. I could tell it's not as good as rFactor but it seems ok. I ran some laps online last night with Bob Dunlop, Jim Best and about 6-7 other guys and it seemed to work fine.

Here are the lap times I am running. I am using the Lambo.

    Monza 1:49.xxx
    Donnington 1:07.1xx

IT seems like in particular the GT cars are about 4-5 seconds faster at Monza than I am. Load up an AI race on the Monza 2004 track and let me know if you can keep up with them. I did the first race in the official FIA GT Championship from 2004. That's the one I am talking about.

IF anyone's interested maybe we could run some laps online tonight?
I am happy to host and can post my IP address here.

David, I'll give that Monza race a try and post up my times too. Was fun last night on Bob's server. I have only played with gearing and tire pressure so far as the default seems so easy to drive.

I might be able to make it tonight but not for sure. Jim

Jim that would be great, I am very interested in what your times are against the AI at Monza.
