Race 07 diacussion

Just loaded Race 07 and ran a few laps at Monza in a Radical.. Nice ride.. pretty fast and stable. Graphics a bit flat but that may be my settings..... Overall a B+ I would say.

When you buy the actual game is STEAM required to run it?
When i ran the demo it lagged so bad i never turned a lap,and I got to wondering if the fact a big arsed STEAM app was running in the background causing massive FPS loss and game lag.

Steam doesn't cause any lag or at least it shouldn't unless you are on an antique machine w/ a very very slow processor.(Pentium 1 or 2 )
Steam is ONLY required if you are going to race online.
When you install Race 07 it gives you the option of Steam or no Steam.

Ok how about this one..How does the game itself compare to the demo?

My machines not that old..I have an electric starter on the side as opposed to a crank

And it has running water too

Ok guys, so I havent heard much more from you all about RACE 07. Was it a worthwhile investment, do you play it much? Which cars do you like best?

Bought it..installed it..tried about half the cars...added a couple tracks...haven't looked at it since.
I don't know anyone who races it is the only reason I have not messed w/ it I guess.
